About App
As the Professional Fighters League (PFL) prepared to revamp its direct-to-consumer platform in 2025, we faced the challenge of turning PFL’s bold vision into reality.
Beyond delivering a reliable streaming service, we were tasked with enabling a deeply interactive, personalized, and data-driven fan experience, meeting a series of ambitious goals that would define the next chapter of PFL’s digital evolution

Problem and Solution

Problem
PFL's existing app was built on ViewLift's standard template—functional, but generic. For a league trying to differentiate itself from UFC and Bellator, the digital experience felt like an afterthought:
The app looked like every other streaming service—no distinctive PFL brand identity
Fight discovery was buried: users had to dig through menus to find upcoming events or understand the season structure
Fighter profiles were bare-bones text pages with no stats, records, or narrative context
The unique PFL format (regular season → playoffs → championship) was completely unexplained, confusing new fans
2.9-star app store rating with complaints about navigation, crashes, and 'feeling cheap
Solution
A one-stop destination for fans to experience the entire PFL universe — live fights, tune-in information, review / preview content, stats / schedules, and fighter information — all in one seamless, streamlined platform.
Visual Redesign
Solution
PFL fans can now visualize advanced fighter statistics, career insights and personalized content on the new custom fighter roster and profiles.
